Un nuevo seísmo de 5,5 grados de magnitud sacudió la provincia de Qinghai, en el noroeste del país, a las 18.04 horas de esta tarde (10.04 horas GMT), informó la agencia oficial Xinhua sin dar cuenta de víctimas ni daños materiales.
La Red Sismológica Nacional de China indicó que el temblor tuvo su epicentro en 33,2 grados de latitud norte y 91,9 grados este.
Se momento, según los datos de la Red Sismológica, el área más afectada está escasamente poblada al encontrarse a una altitud cercana a los 5.000 metros por encima del nivel del mar.
El terremoto de hoy es uno de los miles que se han registrado en China desde que el pasado 12 de mayo un potente sismo de 8 grados de magnitud asolara la provincia suroccidental china de Sichuan y alrededores, con una cifra de 87.000 muertos y desaparecidos hasta hoy.
Más de 200 de estos temblores tuvieron una magnitud superior a 4 grados.
