El próximo presidente de Estados Unidos, Barack Obama, se dispone a ofrecer a su ex rival Hillary Clinton el cargo de secretaria de Estado, que espera que ella acepte, informaron hoy en "The Washington Post" y "The Politico".
La designación de la senadora por Nueva York como jefa de la diplomacia estadounidense podría ser anunciado en los primeros días de diciembre, según los colaboradores de Obama a los que citan ambos diarios capitolinos.
Los asesores de Obama, según ambas publicaciones, dijeron anoche que han sido despejados los escollos que quedaban ante el nombramiento de Hillary Clinton, al solucionarse cuestiones como la revelación de los intereses financieros de su marido, el ex presidente Bill Clinton.
Representantes de Hillary Clinton rehusaron comentar la versión de los allegados de Obama, según el Washington Post.
Mientras tanto, la dirección del grupo demócrata en el Senado estudia formas de asignar mayores responsabilidades y poderes a Hillary Clinton, en el caso de que no entre en el gabinete de Obama, informó hoy en su edición digital "The New York Times".
