Un juez italiano ordenó hoy la detención de 49 miembros del clan de la camorra "Cava", de la localidad de Quindici (Avelino, sur de Italia), acusados de homicidios, extorsión, robos, tráfico de drogas, uso de armas y pertenencia a asociación mafiosa, informó la policía.
De los 49 mafiosos contra los que se dictó orden de arresto, varios están ya encarcelados por otros delitos, mientras que la policía está ejecutando las detenciones en varias localidades italianas.
El juez ordenó también la confiscación de varios inmuebles que tenía el clan en las provincias de Nápoles, Avellino, Frosinone, Latina, L'Aquila, Piacenza y Parma, por un valor de entre 160 y 180 millones de euros.
Entre los detenidos se encuentra el jefe del clan, Biagio Cava, y otros familiares.
Dos hermanos del capo, Bernardo y Salvatore, contra los que se dictó orden de detención, están desde hace tiempo en la cárcel por otros delitos relacionados con la camorra.
Los Cava mantienen una guerra desde hace 20 años con el clan de los Graziano por el control de las actividades ilegales en la zona, en la que han sido asesinadas mujeres de ambos grupos.
