Los padres de Asunta, la niña de 12 años hallada muerta en una pista forestal el pasado 22 de septiembre, han llegado en furgones separados y solo unos minutos antes de las cuatro de la tarde al juzgado de instrucción número dos de Santiago, del que es titular el juez José Antonio Vázquez Taín.
La abogada Rosario Porto y el periodista Alfonso Basterra, imputados por la presunta comisión de un delito de asesinato y encarcelados en el penal coruñés de Teixeiro, decidirán ahora si colaboran con el magistrado, una vez se ha levantado el secreto que pesaba sobre la causa abierta por el crimen cometido hace dos meses.
Los letrados que asisten a ambos, los únicos imputados por esta muerte violenta que se consumó el día 21, les habían aconsejado que no cooperasen en ninguna reconstrucción o cualquier otra pericia mientras no se produjese el alzamiento, y pudiesen tener acceso a todo el acervo probatorio conseguido por los investigadores.
José Luis Gutiérrez Aranguren, el abogado de Porto, ha avanzado a los informadores que pedirá nuevas pruebas y que por el momento no solicitarán la nulidad de ninguna de las hasta ahora practicadas, mientras que Belén Hospido, la letrada que asiste a Basterra, ha rechazado hacer declaraciones.
