El periodista español Javier Angulo, de 59 años, ha sido designado hoy nuevo director de la Semana Internacional de Cine de Valladolid (SEMINCI) en sustitución del crítico hispanoargentino Juan Carlos Frugone.
El nombramiento de Angulo, especializado en información cinematográfica, ha sido realizado por el patronato del Festival, reunido a primera hora de esta mañana bajo la presidencia del alcalde de Valladolid, Javier León de la Riva.
Angulo, miembro de la redacción fundacional del diario "El País", fue uno de los creadores de la revista "Cinemanía", es miembro de la Academia del Cine Europeo, ha escrito varios libros de cinematografía y ha colaborado con el festival de Cine Español de Málaga como coordinador de una de sus secciones.
