Los pescadores de El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) han cortado esta mañana la carretera y el puente de acceso a la localidad durante una hora en protesta por el encarecimiento del gasóleo y han anunciado que seguirán llevando a cabo acciones de este tipo hasta que el Gobierno no les aporte una solución.
El presidente de los armadores de El Puerto, Antonio Ares, ha explicado a Efe que los pescadores portuenses cumplen ya la tercera semana sin salir a faenar y la "desesperación" está haciendo mella en ellos.
"No le vemos color al tema, no sabemos hasta cuándo vamos a aguantar esta situación porque los marineros ya están muy desesperados y cuando comienza a escasear la comida en sus casas y a no poder pagar las hipotecas uno puede llegar a hacer cualquier cosa", ha subrayado Ares.
Según ha precisado, ni el Gobierno ni la Junta les han ofrecido aún ninguna solución al conflicto, "sólo nos prometen próximas reuniones y ninguna se concreta".
Los pescadores portuenses piden un gasóleo profesional de 40 céntimos, "no que nos den dinero, queremos trabajar y no estar recibiendo dinero de las administraciones, porque eso es pan para hoy y hambre para mañana", según Ares.
Los marineros portuenses han cortado la carretera y el puente de acceso al municipio entre las siete y media y las ocho y media, hasta que la Policía les ha desalojado.
