A UGT no le salen las cuentas. El número de vehículos que está previsto fabricar en la planta de Opel de Figueruelas (Zaragoza) arroja un excedente de plantilla de 1.600 trabajadores, según el secretario general de UGT en GM España y representante en el comité europeo, Pedro Bona.
Los cálculos del sindicato parten del plan de ahorro de la que presumiblemente será nueva dueña de Opel, la multinacional canadiense Magna, que ha llegado a un preacuerdo para hacerse con el negocio de General Motors en Europa y, por tanto, con la planta de Figueruelas. Magna prevé reducir la producción de la fábrica hasta las 320.000 unidades, cuando está preparada para construir 130.000 más.
El pasado martes, la canadiense presentó al comité europeo del grupo en un encuentro en Frankfurt un plan de ahorro de 1.750 millones de dólares (unos 1.300 millones de euros) a ejecutar en cinco años. En dicho plan, se especificaba que la carga de trabajo de Figueruelas quedaría en 320.000 unidades, que son la misma cantidad que se está fabricando en la actualidad a consecuencia de la crisis.
Este recorte de la producción, que se consideraba transitorio, ya ha provocado dos expedientes de regulación de empleo (ERE) temporales.
Indra aumentará plantilla
La coyuntura actual hace que destaquen más si cabe las declaraciones de ayer del presidente del grupo tecnológico Indra, Javier Monzón, durante la junta de accionistas de la compañía. Indra espera incorporar entre 1.200 y 1.500 nuevos trabajadores a su plantilla, compuesta por unos 30.000 trabajadores.
