La Policía ha salido hoy del Ayuntamiento de la localidad malagueña de Estepona con su alcalde, Antonio Barrientos (PSOE), que permanece detenido por la operación "Astata" contra la corrupción urbanística y que ha estado presente en el registro de la sede municipal por los agentes más de catorce horas.
Barrientos, que fue conducido pasadas las 15.00 horas de ayer al Ayuntamiento tras el registro policial de su vivienda, ha sido sacado por los agentes fuera del Ayuntamiento sobre las 5.30 horas de hoy, según ha podido comprobar Efe.
La Policía ha recogido de las dependencias, donde se encuentra la Alcaldía, más de una decena de cajas con documentación.
Previamente, los agentes han salido del consistorio con el jefe del Gabinete de la Alcaldía, José Flores, también arrestado en esta operación y que permanecía en el registro de estas oficinas desde las 16.40 horas de ayer.
La actuación policial, que sigue abierta, suma por el momento 25 detenidos entre los que hay concejales, ex concejales, empresarios, funcionarios municipales y abogados.
Entre los políticos arrestados se encuentran miembros del PSOE y del grupo local PES, formado por antiguos integrantes del Grupo Independiente Liberal (GIL) que fundara el fallecido ex alcalde de Marbella Jesús Gil.
