Los precios de la importación de los productos industriales registraron su mayor caída desde 2006, fecha desde la que existen datos comparables, al bajar el 9,9% en mayo respecto al mismo mes de 2008, y también los de las exportaciones tuvieron la mayor bajada, con el 3,7 por ciento.
Según el Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE), los precios de las importaciones cayeron en mayo principalmente por la energía, donde se redujeron el 41,2%, seguidos de los de bienes intermedios que cayeron el 5,4% y en los de consumo, el 1,5%, mientras que los de consumo subieron el 1,5%.
En cuanto a las exportaciones, los precios para la energía bajaron el 37,4% y los de los bienes intermedios el 4,9%, en tanto que los de equipo subieron el 2,1% y los de consumo el 0,1%.
