El PSC ha conocido hoy la decisión del socialista Ferran Mascarell de aceptar el ofrecimiento del nuevo presidente catalán, Artur Mas, para incorporarse al gobierno de CiU como conseller de Cultura, cuestión de la que el PSC se ha desmarcado subrayando que hará sin él de "oposición y alternativa".
Los socialistas catalanes facilitaron con su abstención la investidura de Mas el pasado 23 de diciembre y ahora un socialista, que ha estado hasta el último momento en las quinielas como alcaldable por Barcelona, se incorporará al Govern nacionalista de Mas, en una operación que se asemeja a la realizada por el francés Nicolas Sarkozy en su primer gobierno.
Ante esta situación, el PSC ha emitido un comunicado en el que se afirma: "Queremos subrayar el carácter personal de una decisión que implica sumarse a un proyecto político muy diferente del nuestro".
"Ferran Mascarell, ante la disyuntiva gobierno-oposición, ha optado por el gobierno, mientras el PSC desarrollará, sin él, la tarea de oposición y alternativa que nos han encomendado los ciudadanos y ciudadanas de Cataluña", han proclamado los socialistas catalanes.
Ferran Mascarell, ex conseller de Cultura en el último gobierno de Pasqual Maragall, ha aceptado la oferta de Artur Mas, que esta mañana ha tomado posesión como presidente de la Generalitat, para asumir esa misma cartera en el nuevo Govern de CiU.
