Los ministros para Europa de los Veintisiete concluyen hoy su reunión informal en la localidad segoviana de La Granja con el debate sobre el futuro modelo económico de la UE y la conveniencia o no de establecer medidas vinculantes para los países que no la cumplan.
Los delegados van a discutir, a partir de las 9.30 horas, cuáles deben ser las bases de la llamada Estrategia Europa 2020 y las actuaciones inmediatas para volver a la senda del crecimiento después de la crisis.
España ha lanzado la idea de que el nuevo modelo cuente con objetivos concretos y de que se premie con fondos europeos a aquellos países que los cumplan.
La primera reunión ministerial de la presidencia española, que se celebra en el Palacio de Congresos de La Granja, concluirá con una rueda de prensa del secretario de Estado para la UE, Diego López Garrido.
En la sesión inaugural de ayer, martes, los debates se centraron en la puesta en marcha de los mecanismos que establece el Tratado de Lisboa, como el Servicio Europeo de Acción Exterior.
