El Rey recibirá hoy en audiencia a los miembros de la Mesa del Parlamento Vasco, con su presidenta, Arantza Quiroga, a la cabeza.
En las legislaturas anteriores, el presidente de la institución vasca era recibido para comunicar al Monarca la elección del lehendakari por parte del Parlamento Vasco, para su nombramiento oficial.
En esta ocasión, Quiroga no pudo comunicar personalmente a don Juan Carlos la elección de Patxi López el pasado 5 de mayo porque el Rey se encontraba en el extranjero de visita de Estado.
De hecho, don Juan Carlos firmó el decreto de nombramiento de López en la embajada española en Vilna.
Está previsto que a la recepción acudan todos los miembros de la Mesa: Blanca Roncal y Jesús Loza, del PSE-EE, e Íñigo Iturrate y Mikel Martínez, del PNV.
