La vicepresidenta segunda del Gobierno y ministra de Economía y Hacienda, Elena Salgado, mantuvo hoy su primera reunión con el vicepresidente tercero y ministro de Política Territorial, Manuel Chaves, a quien explicó el estado de los trabajos sobre el nuevo modelo de financiación autonómica que su departamento está negociando con las comunidades.
Economía explicó en un comunicado que Salgado y Chaves "colaborarán activamente" en los asuntos relativos al desarrollo de la política autonómica del Ejecutivo, entre los que destaca el nuevo modelo, que deberá presentarse en el Consejo de Política Fiscal y Financiera, del que también forma parte el vicepresidente tercero.
Además, ambos han comentado diversos temas relacionados con el desarrollo de los estatutos autonómicos, una cuestión que Chaves ya trató ayer con el ministro de Fomento, José Blanco.
Asimismo, la vicepresidenta segunda ha informado al ministro de Política Territorial sobre diversas cuestiones referentes a la financiación de las entidades locales, como estado de ejecución del Fondo Estatal de Inversión Local.
Tras reunirse a lo largo de la mañana con Chaves y con la ministra de Defensa, Carme Chacón, Salgado se entrevistará esta tarde a las 17.30 horas con el titular de Industria, Turismo y Comercio, Miguel Sebastián.
Estos encuentros se enmarcan en la ronda de contactos que la nueva ministra está manteniendo con el resto de representantes del Gobierno con el objetivo de abordar diferentes asuntos, entre ellos, la crisis económica.
