El Ministerio de Sanidad y Política Social ha anunciado que un total de 24 niños se encuentran afectados por el brote de la gripe A (H1N1) en los centros escolares de la Comunidad de Madrid.
Según los datos notificados hasta las 14.00 horas por las autoridades sanitarias de la Consejería de Sanidad de la Comunidad de Madrid, en el Instituto Isaac Albéniz de Leganés hay 21 casos que han sido confirmados por el Instituto de Salud Carlos III y sesenta casos en estudio.
En el colegio Pío Baroja de Leganés hay dos casos confirmados y catorce en estudio, mientras que en la escuela infantil Locomotora, del distrito de Fuencarral, de Madrid, hay un caso confirmado y once en estudio.
La Consejería de Sanidad de la Comunidad de Madrid, evaluada la situación, y previa comunicación al Ministerio de Sanidad y Política Social, ha recomendado que los niños no asistan a la escuela hasta el próximo lunes, 8 de junio.
Las autoridades sanitarias de la Comunidad de Madrid han aplicado en todo momento los protocolos del Plan Nacional de Preparación contra la Pandemia de Gripe elaborado con las directrices de la OMS, según el Ministerio.
