La portavoz del PP en el Congreso de los Diputados, Soraya Sáenz de Santamaría, acudió ayer a Albacete, sede del XI congreso de los conservadores de Castilla-La Mancha, para arropar a María Dolores de Cospedal, que un día antes había sido proclamada presidenta del PP regional. Después de felicitar a los militantes por el "buen ambiente" del congreso, Sáenz de Santamaría destacó que la principal diferencia entre la secretaria general de su partido y el presidente de Castilla-La Mancha, José María Barreda, es que ella "siempre está al lado de quienes lo necesitan".
Pero el eje de su discurso fue la economía y el vicepresidente Pedro Solbes, el que salió peor parado. "Le digo a Zapatero que no necesitamos profetas, sólo un ministro de Economía, con corbata o sin corbata, pero sólo un ministro de Economía". Y es que para la portavoz de los conservadores en la Cámara Baja, "Solbes en eso de las cifras no da ni una". En contraposición, alabó a su compañero Cristóbal Montoro.
Sáenz de Santamaría señaló que, pese a la promesa del Gobierno de no hacer recortes en materia social, las comunidades autónomas no han recibido dinero en concepto de la Ley de Dependencia.
Al igual que hizo Rajoy un día antes, también habló de política exterior. "No hay líder político -extranjero- que se atreva a venir a España. Tenemos que conformarnos con que venga Chávez y sus embajadores pretendan darnos lecciones de democracia".
Por su parte, Cospedal pidió confianza a los militantes porque "no os vamos a defraudar". Y alabó al hombre que la ha llevado a lo más alto del partido, Mariano Rajoy: "Demuestra templanza en los peores momentos, aguantando las críticas, soportando el aislamiento".
