Al menos seis personas murieron hoy y dos resultaron heridas en dos ataques con misiles de aviones espía de EEUU en el bastión talibán paquistaní de Waziristán del Norte, informó el canal televisivo "Express".
Los ataques tuvieron lugar en el distrito de Ghulam Khan, situado en la demarcación de Waziristán del Norte, fronteriza con Afganistán, según el canal, que no precisó sus fuentes.
Ayer se registró otro ataque de aviones no tripulados de EEUU en Waziristán, cerca de la ciudad de Mir Alí, que acabó con la vida de 25 personas, de acuerdo con los medios paquistaníes.
Este año se han registrado al menos 110 ataques de aviones espía en territorio paquistaní, frente a los 53 de 2009.
La inmensa mayoría de los misiles han caído en Waziristán del Norte, pero a mediados de este mes tres ataques en la región tribal de Khyber dejaron 51 muertos, algo que alimentó las especulaciones sobre una expansión territorial del programa encubierto de ataques con aviones no tripulados de EEUU.
Según fuentes de inteligencia y seguridad consultadas por Efe, estos ataques son precisos, se basan en inteligencia operativa sobre el terreno y para efectuarlos existe un acuerdo tácito con la parte paquistaní.
