El ministro senegalés de Justicia, Madicke Niang, anunció hoy la decisión de su gobierno de presentar "una denuncia (...) por actos inhumanos y degradantes" tras los malos tratos sufridos la semana pasada por un ciudadano senegalés, en manos de la policía española, en el aeropuerto de Madrid-Barajas.
"El ministro de Justicia ha ordenado al fiscal general instruir diligencias por actos inhumanos y degradantes previstos y reprimidos por la convención de Naciones Unidas adoptada en 1984", dijo el comunicado divulgado en Dakar.
Los malos tratos sufridos por el joven senegalés en el momento de su expulsión han sido grabados por un testigo y colocados en internet, lo que ha provocado un sentimiento de profunda indignación en el seno de la opinión pública nacional.
En su edición de hoy, martes, el diario independiente "Le Quotidien" lamenta el mutismo de las autoridades senegalesas sobre el "trato bárbaro" infligido a un emigrante vinculando esa actitud a la ayuda financiera otorgada por Madrid en los últimos años.
