Marcos Senna, centrocampista del Villarreal que será titular el próximo martes ante Rusia en el debut de España en la Eurocopa, declaró hoy que está preparado para afrontar ese reto, pero que Luis no le ha dicho todavía que vaya a jugar desde el comienzo.
"No me sorprende el que tenga que jugar de titular, ya que la competición en España es muy larga y creo que he estado en forma todo el año. Cuando Luis me ha necesitado para jugar en esa posición, creo que he estado bien y estoy preparado para jugar", dijo el jugador, quien añadió que, no obstante, Luis todavía no le ha confirmado que se vaya a ser titular.
Para el jugador, la competencia que hay para ese puesto en la selección, en la que tres jugadores (Senna, De La Red y Xabi Alonso) optan a la misma plaza, "es buena para el conjunto"
"Los tres estamos bien preparados. Hay una competencia muy grande y Luis no me ha dicho que vaya a ser titular, pero en este equipo todos podemos considerarnos titulares", indicó el centrocampista, de origen brasileño.
Senna no cree que las bajas que tiene la selección rusa puedan ayudar a España para obtener un buen resultado. "En una competición como la Eurocopa, todos los rivales son complicados y las bajas no son tan acusadas. Rusia va a ser un rival difícil tenga o no tenga bajas", añadió.
