El centrocampista del Villarreal Marcos Senna no podrá disputar el partido de vuelta de cuartos de final de la Liga de Campeones el miércoles, tras lesionarse el sábado en el encuentro de Liga ante el Málaga, informó hoy el club castellonense.
El internacional español de origen brasileño, que marcó el gol del Villarreal en el partido de ida, tuvo que dejar el campo a diez minutos de finalizar el encuentro de Liga en casa ante el Málaga, que perdieron por 2-0, al sufrir una contusión en el muslo izquierdo.
Senna sufre "una lesión en los isquiotibiales de la pierna izquierda, que le obligarán a perderse como mínimo el encuentro de vuelta de los cuartos de final ante el Arsenal en el Emirates Stadium", dijo el club en un comuniado
El Arsenal tampoco se ha librado de las lesiones. Aún no está claro aún si su defensa Johan Djourou jugará el miércoles tras lesionarse la rodilla en el partido que ganó el equipo por 4-1 al Wigan Athletic el sábado.
No contar con el defensa central de 22 años va a ser duro para el Arsenal, que tampoco podrá alinear al defensa William Gallas, que se lesionó en la ida, que acabó 1-1 en Villarreal.
"Johan Djourou tiene un problema de rodilla y eso es la mala noticia del día. Parece que no jugará el miércoles", explicó el entrenador del Arsenal, Arsene Wenger, según la página web del club (www.arsenal.com).
"Hemos perdido a dos defensas centrales en dos partidos, nos quedan todavía algunos y no tenemos tantos como para perder uno en cada partido", añadió.
Mikael Silvestre, de vuelta en plena forma tras no jugar un partido de liga para el Arsenal desde diciembre, sustituyó a Djourou después de 35 minutos de partido y se espera que juegue el miércoles.
