Pese que le ha ganado ya dos veces sobre arcilla y que el español Fernando Verdasco nunca ha sido un especialista en esta superficie, el sueco Robing Soderling considera que, si hay algún aspecto que otorga cierta ventaja a su rival de mañana domingo en el torneo Conde de Godó es que "la final se juega en tierra".
Soderling cree que ese será "el punto fuerte" del madrileño para derrotarle en la final del Godó, "un partido que será extremadamente difícil, porque Verdasco es un gran jugador que demuestra estar en muy buena forma tras repetir aquí la final de la semana pasada (en Montecarlo)".
Al sueco, jugador de enorme potencia, especialista en pista rápida, donde ha conseguido cuatro de los cinco títulos que tiene en su haber, le preocupa la superficie pero no el hecho de que su rival juegue en casa. "No tengo ningún problema con eso. Ya he jugado otra veces en España y contra españoles, incluso en la Copa Davis, y estoy preparado", dijo.
