La actriz italiana Sofia Loren visitará el 2 de noviembre en Burgos la exposición "El Cid. Del hombre a la leyenda" y, al día siguiente, participará en la gala de clausura de la 52 Semana Internacional de Cine de Valladolid (SEMINCI), donde entregará una Espiga de Oro honorífica al productor Alberto Grimaldi.
La consejera de Cultura y Turismo de la Junta de Castilla y León, María José Salgueiro, ha anunciado esta tarde a los periodistas minutos antes de la inauguración de la SEMINCI, la presencia de la actriz italiana Sofia Loren en el festival, invitada por el Gobierno regional.
Loren visitará el 2 de noviembre en Burgos la exposición conmemorativa del octavo centenario de la copia manuscrita del El Cid Campeador, organizada por la Junta de Castilla y León.
Asimismo, la consejera ha anunciado que al día siguiente, el 3 de noviembre, la actriz italiana entregará, durante la gala de clausura de la 52 Semana Internacional de Cine de Valladolid, una Espiga de Oro honorífica al productor italiano Alberto Grimaldi, a quien el Festival de Valladolid dedica un ciclo como homenaje.
Loren rodó junto a Charlton Heston en Burgos, el municipio palentino de Ampudia y la localidad vallisoletana de Torrelobatón, entre otros lugares, la película "El Cid" (1961), dirigida por Anthony Mann, que recrea la vida de Rodrígo Díaz de Vivar, "El Cid".
Por su parte, Grimaldi (1925) ha sido el productor de algunas de las películas más famosas de la historia del cine, desde "El bueno, el feo y el malo" (1966) hasta "Gangs of New York" (2002).
Este productor nacido en Nápoles y que ha colaborado con directores como Federico Fellini, Pier Paolo Pasolini y Bernardo Bertolucci, ha realizado un total de 78 largometrajes donde combina comedia, drama, intriga, erotismo y aventura, entre otros géneros.
