La escritora gallega Susana Fortes ha ganado la XIV edición del Premio de Novela Fernando Lara, dotado con 120.200 euros y patrocinado por la editorial Planeta y la Fundación José Manuel Lara, con una novela sobre el legendario fotógrafo Robert Capa.
El jurado del premio, que se ha fallado esta noche en el transcurso de una cena de gala celebrada en los Reales Alcázares de Sevilla, ha estado integrado por los escritores Fernando Delgado, Juan Eslava Galán, Antonio Prieto, Ángeles Caso y Carlos Pujol.
Las primeras palabras que pronunció Susana Fortes tras conocer el fallo del jurado fueron para Robert Capa, conocido por las fotos que hizo en la guerra civil española y para su gran amor, la también fotógrafa Gerda Taro, de quienes dijo que España al menos les debía una novela, y que esta obra suya ha sido su particular manera de salvar esa deuda.
