El comité de empresa de la central nuclear de Santa María de Garoña se trasladará hoy al Palacio de la Moncloa para hacer llegar al presidente del Gobierno, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, sus reivindicaciones ante el eventual cierre de la planta.
El presidente del comité de empresa y representante de USO, Alberto César González, ha afirmado en un comunicado que se van a desplazar a Madrid para que el presidente del Gobierno "escuche lo que tenemos que decir sobre el futuro de Garoña y de las familias que de ella dependemos".
Al igual que hicieron el miércoles pasado frente al Congreso, los integrantes del comité de empresa, trabajadores, representantes sindicales del sector y dirigentes del sindicato USO, se concentrarán en La Moncloa a las 12 horas, cuando se celebra el Consejo de Ministros habitual de los viernes.
Por otra parte, los representantes de los trabajadores han valorado muy positivamente el último informe del Consejo de Seguridad Nuclear (CSN) en el que se respalda la seguridad de la planta, lo que posibilitaría que siguiera operativa hasta 2019, solución que proponen.
Los trabajadores han señalado que "el CSN es el único organismo autorizado por la Ley para dictaminar en cuestiones de Seguridad" y sus informes han sido "unánimes a favor de la continuidad".
