Aschwin Wildeboer ha batido en su posta del relevo de 4x50 estilos la plusmarca europea de los 50 metros espalda con un tiempo de 23.12, dos centésimas mejor que los 23.14 que él mismo acreditaba.
Este crono supone la séptima mejor marca mundial del año en la distancia.
Wildeboer firmó este tiempo durante la Copa de España de natación que se disputa en Sabadell y en la que hoy se establecieron otros cinco récords nacionales a cargo del propio Aschwin Wildeboer en 100 m. estilos (52.83), Melquiades Álvarez en 100 m. braza (58.83), Ángela San Juan en 50 m. libre (25.03) y los relevos del CN Sant Andreu en 4x50 m. estilos (1:34.49) con José Miguel Rando, Melquiades Álvarez, Álex Villaécija y Laín García) y en 4x200 m. libre (7:04.17), con Javier Núñez, Alan y Brenton Cabello y Álex Villaécija.
