El jefe del Ejecutivo, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, ha condenado hoy el comunicado en el que ETA señala al futuro lehendakari, Patxi López, y a su Gabinete como "objetivo prioritario" y ha asegurado que los terroristas no conseguirán "nada" con amenazas, salvo su "desprecio".
Durante la reunión de la Comisión Ejecutiva Federal del PSOE, el presidente del Gobierno y también secretario general del partido ha expresado su "rechazo rotundo" por este anuncio de ETA difundido ayer por el diario Gara, según ha informado la secretaria de Organización socialista, Leire Pajín.
En el texto, hecho público el Día de Aberri Eguna (Día de la Patria Vasca), la banda terrorista tilda a López, que sucederá a Juan José Ibarretxe como presidente del Gobierno Vasco, de "caudillo" y afirma que no reconocerá "ninguna legitimidad democrática" al Ejecutivo que formará.
Pese a que la amenaza de ETA no es "nueva" para los socialistas, Zapatero ha subrayado, según Pajín, que no se va a dar "un solo paso atrás" y que los terroristas no conseguirán su objetivo, sino tan sólo "desprecio".
"Todos los que amenazan acabarán en la cárcel" y sufriendo "todo el peso de la ley", ha añadido Pajín.
La dirigente socialista ha aprovechado para hacer un llamamiento a todos los demócratas para que apoyen al nuevo Gobierno vasco porque, a su juicio, es momento de la "unidad y contundencia democrática".
