Nintendo lanzará el próximo 5 de marzo una nueva versión de su consola portátil DS, que tendrá dos pantallas más grandes y un navegador para acceder a Internet.
En una nota de prensa, la compañía japonesa informa de que la nueva Nintendo DSi XL será la consola portátil con las pantallas más grandes del mercado, con 4,2 pulgadas (10,7 cms).
Las anteriores versiones de esta consola constaban de unas pantallas de 3 pulgadas (la DS Lite) y de 3,25 pulgadas (la DSi).
Según Nintendo, esta ampliación de tamaño incidirá en una "visión angular mucho más amplia" y permitirá que el jugador comparta su partida con quienes le rodeen.
Además de las nuevas dimensioens y de la inclusión de un navegador para acceder a Internet, la consola tendrá, al igual que la versión DSi, dos cámaras digitales, un editor de imágenes y de sonido, grabadora y reproductor de música, y la posibilidad de descargar juegos desde la tienda de Nintendo.
En el aparato, que ahora incorpora un puntero "tamaño boli" para mejorar el control de la pantalla táctil, estarán instaladas las aplicaciones Una pausa con... Brain Training del Dr. Kawashima y el Diccionario 6 en 1, con funciones relacionadas a la cámara digital.
Esta versión de la DS, que Nintendo califica de "business class", es la cuarta desde que la consola portátil saliera al mercado en 2004.
