01: Luis y el amarillo
Es totalmente conocida la manía que le tiene Luis al amarillo. Hoy España jugará de ese color ante los rusos, aunque los puristas dicen que es de color oro. De todas formas, Luis lo tiene muy claro y evita pronunciarse sobre su color enemigo cuando puede. “Yo no me lo pongo para nada. Además, eso de color, color... A mí me parece mostaza”, dijo el seleccionador.
02: Overbooking
Sergio Ramos, Iniesta y Capdevila aparecían por la puerta de la sala de prensa del Ernst Happel y se quedaron totalmente alucinados por la cantidad de medios. 83 cámaras de televisión y cerca de 400 periodistas estaban presentes en su comparecencia. “Todo un récord para la UEFA”, dijo el delegado del organismo, Borja Bilbao.
03: Locura hotelera
Encontrar una cama en Viena es prácticamente imposible. Tal es así, que la mayoría de los equipos que están en liza y sus respectivas expediciones están pendientes de los que caigan eliminados para coger rápidamente los hoteles. Así sucedió a los españoles, incluída la prensa que tardó en acoplarse.
04: El comandante miguélez
Una de las sorpresas del traslado de Innsbruck a Viena fue la ayuda que prestó a los pilotos, José Miguélez. El redactor jefe de Público voló como cualquier comandante, piloto, sobrecargo... en la cabina del piloto, ante la mirada estupefacte de toda la prensa y los familiares de los jugadores. Hubo pocas turbulencias.
