MADRID.- Las Fuerzas de Seguridad del Estado colaborarán con las autoridades francesas en el refuerzo de la seguridad ante la Eurocopa de fútbol que se jugará en las próximas semanas, de modo que se enviarán dos equipos de Tedax y un grupo de policías acompañará a los aficionados a los partidos de España.
El ministro del Interior en funciones, Jorge Fernández Díaz, ha aportado estos datos en declaraciones a los periodistas en un acto de entrega de las medallas al Mérito de Protección Civil.
Fernández Díaz ha explicado que España reforzará el control fronterizo y ha añadido que la cooperación bilateral será "especialmente intensa" durante el próximo mes en el que se ha mostrado seguro de que la Eurocopa de fútbol se desarrollará "con total seguridad y plena normalidad".
España colaborará con Francia con dos equipos de Tedax -uno de la Guardia Civil y otro de la Policía- compuestos por dos personas cada uno, pero además seis agentes viajarán con los aficionados españoles a las diferentes sedes en las que juegue la selección.
El ministro ha reconocido que tanto la Eurocopa que se desarrollará en Francia entre el 10 de junio y el 10 de julio como la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud que se celebrará entre el 26 y el 31 de julio de este año en Cracovia (Polonia) suponen "una ocasión especial y singular" para los terroristas para poder conseguir que sus atentados tengan una mayor difusión.
Y ha recordado que España está en nivel de alerta 4 desde el 26 de junio de 2015, con motivo de los ataques terroristas de Francia, Túnez y Kuwait.
Ha considerado "muy significativo" que España comenzara 2015 en nivel de alerta 2 y lo terminara en nivel de alerta 4 -a sólo un paso del nivel máximo, el que se declara cuando el riesgo de ataque es inminente-, que es el que se mantiene.
"La comunidad internacional está amenazada", ha dicho el responsable de Interior, a cuyo juicio "la amenaza internacional se ha hecho especialmente intensa en los últimos meses".
