El británico Andy Murray, primer favorito en el torneo londinense de Queen's, dejó al español Juan Carlos Ferrero sin la que hubiera sido la primera final en hierba de su carrera, al derrotarle por 6-2 y 6-4 en una hora y once minutos de partido, y jugará mañana contra el estadounidense James Blake, que pasó por el abandono en el primer set de su compatriota Andy Roddick.
Murray desarboló por completo al que fuera número uno mundial en 2003 en el primer set, endosándole un claro 6-2 y tirando por tierra las buenas sensaciones que el jugador español había tenido hasta ese momento.
En la segunda manga Ferrero volvió a recobrar el toque, aunque no fue suficiente para dominar al número tres mundial de la actualidad, que buscará en la final de Queen's el cuarto título de la temporada y el primero en hierba de su carrera.
Murray firmó nueve 'aces' por dos del español y 68 golpes ganadores por 49 de Ferrero.
James Blake, sexto favorito, accedió a la final tras el abandono de Andy Roddick, segundo cabeza de serie y ganador de cuatro ediciones del torneo londinense, durante la primera manga, cuando el marcador era de 4-4.
Andy Roddick comenzó a sentir molestias en el tobillo derecho durante el tercer juego y en el octavo decidió no continuar.
