El Tau Cerámica ha confirmado en la tarde de hoy mediante un comunicado que el entrenador Neven Spahija no seguirá al frente del equipo baskonista la próxima temporada, lo cual se le comunicó esta mañana al técnico croata, en una reunión mantenida con el presidente baskonista, Josean Querejeta.
En dicha reunión, se le explicó a Spahija "la decisión del Club de hacer efectiva la cláusula del contrato de no ejecutar la renovación del mismo", aunque en el comunicado, la entidad vitoriana quiso "agradecer a Neven Spahija el trabajo realizado y le desea la mejor de las suertes en su nuevo destino".
De este modo, Neven Spahija abandona el club tras proclamarse, en una sola temporada, campeón de la Liga ACB y de la Supercopa, finalista de la Copa del Rey, y semifinalista de la Euroliga, después de clasificar al Tau Cerámica para su cuarta 'Final Four' consecutiva.
