Hasta ahora CiU había pedido reformar el mercado de trabajo para introducir criterios de flexibilidad. Pero siempre había evitado concretar demasiado en qué consistían sus propuestas más impopulares. Este viernes, sin embargo, la formación nacionalista fue un poco más allá cuando su portavoz en Madrid, Josep Antoni Duran Lleida, abogó por que una de las medidas sea abaratar el despido.
En declaraciones al programa matinal de TV3 abogó por basar la reforma en la "flexiseguridad" permitiendo, de forma simultánea, reducir la temporalidad en el empleo y abaratar el despido. Sin cuestionar los derechos de quienes disponen de contratos laborales fijos, el líder democristiano abogó por un nuevo contrato que reduzca los costes del despido. Según él, medidas de este tipo son "tan necesarias como poco populares".
Duran señaló que, para salir de la crisis, "hacen falta sacrificios" y avisó de que si se ha vivido "por encima de las posibilidades" ahora toca hacerlo "por debajo".
Duran no sólo se refirió al mercado de trabajo, sino también a la precariedad parlamentaria del Gobierno del PSOE en las Cortes. Indicó que a José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero no le bastará con resolver el tema de la financiación para poder contar con CiU.
En esta línea ya descartó el apoyo de la federación a los Presupuestos del Estado para 2010 que se debatirán en otoño. "Para que le apoyáramos debería asumir nuestras propuestas económicas y no está dispuesto a hacerlo. Por tanto, que no cuente con nosotros", zanjó.
