Izquierda Unida ha registrado a última hora de la mañana un recurso de amparo ante el Tribunal Constitucional en el que pide que se garanticen los derechos fundamentales de reunión y libertad de expresión del Movimiento 15-M.
Así lo ha informado esta formación política en un comunicado, en el que ha explicado que considera que dichos derechos han sido vulnerados tras la prohibición formal de concentración hecha hace dos días por la Junta Electoral Central .
IU ha recurrido a esta iniciativa para agotar todas las vías judiciales después de que el Tribunal Supremo decidiera ayer por la noche inadmitir el recurso contencioso-administrativo presentado por ellos al concluir que "no defiende un derecho propio, sino ajeno".
En su recurso ante el TC, IU solicita que se declare que el TS ha vulnerado el derecho fundamental de los recurrentes y que estime su legitimación activa en el recurso planteado frente a la Resolución de la JEC del pasado día 19.
Además, IU pide al TC que anule la Resolución de la Junta Electoral Central y se permita la celebración de las concentraciones prohibidas durante este sábado, jornada de reflexión, y domingo, día de las elecciones autonómicas y locales.
