Un documento interno elaborado por el Partido Popular y al que ha tenido acceso la agencia Europa Press, pide a sus afiliados atraer la confianza de los votantes de otros partidos, "especialmente de UPyD".
El texto, que es un balance socio-electoral interno, considera además que la baja valoración de su presidente, Mariano Rajoy, se debe al "claro sesgo hacia la izquierda" de las encuestas realizadas por el Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas (CIS). Este "sesgo" explicaría, según el documento, "la mala valoración y puntuación que se hace tanto de Rajoy como de la labor de oposición del PP".
Los conservaodres estiman que dicha valoración "no se corresponde, en modo alguno, con el sentir ni con la valoración real del ciudadano". En el PP consideran que los entrevistados que dicen haber votado al PSOE se ven más representados en las encuestas del CIS, por lo que las desviaciones en las respuestas "no se corrigen". Este aspecto "perjudica principalmente al PP", según el texto.
El balance también alude a la "desafección política" de los ciudadanos que ven "de manera mayoritaria" a los políticos, al Gobierno y a los partidos "como problema", algo que en el PP ven como "muy preocupante" porque "es el caldo de cultivo perfecto para partidos de corte populista".
Sin embargo, el documento elaborado en el seno del partido considera que este "es el mejor momento demoscópico desde que Zapatero es presidente" e incide en la idea de buscar votantes entre el electorado desafectado del PSOE, pero sobre todo y en especial en UPyD, donde Rosa Díez suma cada vez más adeptos de corte conservador.
