Tras anunciar José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero que no se presenta a la reelección , en el PSOE se abre un proceso sucesorio que tiene unos tiempos marcados en los estatutos del partido.
El día 28 de mayo, en el primer Comité Federal tras las elecciones municipales y autonómicas del día 22.
La duración mínima es de 15 días a partir del momento en que se abra el proceso. En esas dos semanas se conocerán los aspirantes, que deben recoger los avales requeridos.
En caso de haber más de un candidato, el proceso se prolongaría hasta un máximo de 45 días.
Los últimos siete días de ese período estarían dedicados a la campaña.
En ese caso, el proceso concluiría una vez finalizado el primer plazo de 15 días.
Aún no se sabe, aunque en boca de todos están los nombres de Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, vicepresidente y ministro del Interior, y Carme Chacón, ministra de Defensa.
Según fuentes socialistas citadas por Servimedia, el PSOE quiere tenerlo designado en septiembre, para darle tiempo a definir su proyecto político.
No. El presidente ha anunciado que no se presenta como candidato, pero no ha dejado la Secretaría General. De modo que, hasta el Congreso Federal ordinario después de las generales, en el PSOE habrá bicefalia.
