El hospital defiende que sólo se han dado retrasos por falta de material en un 5% de los casos.

MADRID.- El Hospital de Ourense está cancelando operaciones por falta de material, incluso con los pacientes ya anestesiados. Es lo que le ocurrió a Sindo Cid, que se encontraba en la cama, anestesiado y con todo preparado para su operación. Entonces, se fue al traste.
"Me dijeron que se suspendía la operación por falta de material". Era la segunda vez, y por la misma excusa, que Sindo se quedaba sin ser operado en el Hospital de Ourense.
"Tenemos constancia de que el anestesista llevaba trabajando setenta y muchas horas", denuncia el PSOE. Mientras, el hospital defiende que son situaciones puntuales y que sólo se han dado retrasos por falta de material en un 5% de los casos.
Hace unos días, los socialistas también denunciaban la suspensión de una operación programada tras "una espera de más de seis meses" y cuando la paciente "ya llevaba una hora en el quirófano" por falta de anestesistas.
