El ministro de Sanidad, Bernat Soria, ha señalado hoy que durante los ocho años de gobierno del PP en España se practicaron 500.000 abortos y no hubo "ni las manifestaciones, ni las propuestas que vemos ahora".
Así ha contestado Soria a una pregunta relacionada con la manifestación que los grupos antiabortistas preparan para el próximo domingo en la rueda de prensa posterior al Consejo Interterritorial de Salud.
Para Soria, el debate actual no es "aborto sí, aborto no" , ya que éste se solucionó en la sociedad española hace 25 años con la ley de 1984, sino mejorar la legislación vigente .
Preguntado por la conveniencia de que las menores de 16 años puedan abortar sin consentimiento paterno como recogen las recomendaciones de los expertos nombrados por el Ministerio de Igualdad, Soria ha emplazado el debate a la aprobación del anteproyecto de ley por parte del Consejo de Ministros, ya que el texto legal está todavía en fase de elaboración.
