Actualizado:
El ex internacional brasileño Emerson ha puesto fin al contrato que le unía con el Santos de su país por una lesión en una pierna.
"Por una cirugía, y bajo su propia iniciativa, Emerson rescinde su contrato con el club", dijo el equipo en su página web (santos.globo.com).
Emerson, que en su larga carrera también jugó en el Bayer Leverkusen, Roma, Juventus, Real Madrid y AC Milan, se someterá la próxima semana a una operación en la tibia de la pierna derecha.
El centrocampista de 33 años sólo ha jugado seis partidos con el Santos, de los que sólo en uno jugó íntegramente los 90 minutos, desde que se incorporó en julio al equipo brasileño desde el AC Milan. Su contrato terminaba a final de año.
