La pensión media de jubilación del sistema de la Seguridad Social se situó el 1 de enero en 874,97 euros, importe que representa una subida del 3,5 por ciento respecto al mismo mes de 2009, informó hoy el Ministerio de Trabajo e Inmigración.
La pensión media del Sistema, que comprende las distintas clases de pensión (jubilación, incapacidad permanente, viudedad, orfandad y a favor de familiares), ascendió a 772,57 euros al mes, con un aumento interanual del 3,4 por ciento.
El número de pensiones contributivas de la Seguridad Social fue de 8.614.876, con un incremento del 1,7 por ciento respecto a enero del año pasado.
Según los datos del Ministerio, el gasto que supone el pago mensual de todas las pensiones sumó 6.655 millones de euros, el 5,1 por ciento más que un año antes.
