El secretario general del Grupo Popular del Congreso, José Antonio Bermúdez de Castro, ha considerado hoy "muy positiva y necesaria" la nueva ley de transparencia, acceso a la información pública y buen gobierno porque será el "mejor antídoto" contra la corrupción y el despilfarro de los recursos públicos.
Así lo ha asegurado a Efe un día después de que el Consejo de Ministros estudiara el anteproyecto de ley de transparencia que, entre otras cosas, castigará con hasta diez años de inhabilitación a los malos gestores y a los que falseen u oculten datos contables.
El dirigente popular ha opinado además que la nueva normativa dará "más confianza" y "cercanía" entre los ciudadanos y la administración, al tiempo que prevendrá la corrupción política.
En este sentido, Bermúdez de Castro ha reprochado al PSOE que durante sus ocho años de gobierno no fuera "capaz" de poner en marcha una ley de estas características.
"Esta ley es muy importante porque será la mejor medicina contra la corrupción y el despilfarro", ha recalcado el dirigente popular, antes de añadir que garantiza además la austeridad en el empleo de los recursos públicos.
Por otra parte, ha destacado el hecho de que los ciudadanos puedan consultar a partir del lunes el anteproyecto en la página web del Ministerio de Presidencia (www.mpr.es) y que, durante quince días, puedan hacer sugerencias.
