La querella anunciada por los sindicatos de la Policía contra el fiscal general del Estado, Cándido Conde-Pumpido , será por un presunto delito de injurias y calumnias con publicidad, después de que el fiscal cuestionara la colaboración de la Policía en la lucha contra el entorno político de ETA.
La querella, que será presentada el próximo lunes ante el Tribunal Supremo ya que Conde-Pumpido es una persona aforada, considera que las declaraciones del fiscal general suponen una grave calumnia e injuria contra los miembros del Cuerpo Nacional de Policía.
En la demanda, los sindicatos SUP, CEP, UFP y SPP pedirán también la recusación de la Sala de lo penal del Tribunal Supremo encargada en principio de estudiar el caso, ya que el actual fiscal general del Estado fue, precisamente, magistrado de esta misma sala.
En un comunicado emitido el pasado jueves, los cuatro sindicatos calificaron las palabras Conde-Pumpido como el ataque "más duro, injustificado, temerario y desleal" que ha recibido la Policía, como institución, "desde el advenimiento de la democracia".
Para las centrales, las acusaciones del fiscal general suponen además imputar a 61.000 funcionarios "un comportamiento delictivo" en una materia especialmente sensible como la lucha antiterrorista.
