El vicepresidente segundo del Gobierno y ministro de Economía y Hacienda, Pedro Solbes, reconoció hoy que el incremento del paro en mayo "no es un buen dato", aunque consideró que el aumento del número de parados no ha sido "espectacular".
Solbes hizo estas consideraciones en RNE tras conocer que el paro registrado en los Servicios Públicos de Empleo Estatal subió en 15.058 personas en mayo, el primer incremento del número de parados en un mes de mayo desde 1996, lo que situó la cifra total de desempleados en 2.353.575.
"No es un buen dato", dijo Solbes, quien recordó que tradicionamente mayo es un mes en el que aumenta el número de afiliados a la Seguridad Social y se reduce el paro.
En este sentido, el titular de Economía destacó el aumento del número de afiliados a la Seguridad Social en 132.647 personas hasta situarse en 19.384.101 trabajadores inscritos, aunque insistió en que "hemos creado paro y eso es malo".
