El grupo de UPyD en la Asamblea de Madrid ha pedido este jueves que el presidente de la Comunidad, Ignacio González, explique en el parlamento regional si su gobierno y Caja Madrid planearon la privatización del Canal de Isabel II mediante un concurso público amañado.
En una nota de prensa en la que alude a una información procedente de los correos electrónicos requisados por el juez a Blesa, UPyD solicita la comparecencia de González como expresidente del Canal de Isabel II entre 2003 y 2012 y la del actual presidente de la empresa, el portavoz y Consejero de Presidencia del Gobierno de Madrid, Salvador Victoria. UPyD quiere que González y Victoria, como también la antecesora de González, Esperanza Aguirre, Blesa (Caja Madrid), Carlos Vela (Caja Madrid) y Carlos Contreras (Caja Madrid), para que informen de las actuaciones llevadas a cabo en el proceso de privatización del Canal de Isabel II.
El diputado y portavoz del Grupo Parlamentario de UPyD en la Asamblea de Madrid, Luis de Velasco, dice en la nota que González "debe explicar si es cierto que existió un pacto secreto entre el Gobierno de la Comunidad de Madrid y Caja Madrid para llevar a cabo la privatización del Canal de Isabel II mediante un concurso público amañado". De Velasco dice que la posibilidad de que hubiese un amaño está reflejada en los correos requisados a Blesa y añade que "si existió el pacto, deben explicar si la razón fue para dar entrada en el proyecto a compañías privadas citadas en los correos como FCC".
UPyD también pide una Comisión de Investigación sobre la privatización del Canal de Isabel II para analizar las responsabilidades políticas que puedan derivarse de este proceso y la convocatoria de la Diputación permanente para que se pueda celebrar un Pleno extraordinario en enero en la Asamblea de Madrid sobre este asunto.
