El Barcelona es el mejor club de la historia del fútbol, por delante del Manchester United, según la lista anual que elabora la Federación Internacional de Historia y Estadísticas del Fútbol (IHHS), en la que el Real Madrid ocupa el tercer lugar.
La clasificación histórica mundial de clubes de la IFFHS publicada hoy tiene en cuenta todos los resultados de las ligas y copas nacionales y las competiciones de clubes de las seis confederaciones continentales y de la FIFA desde 1991.
El ránking, fijado cada 31 de diciembre, tiene en cuenta los 50 mejores conjuntos de cada año y otorga 50 puntos al primero de la lista descendiendo hasta 1 punto al clasificado en quincuagésimo lugar.
La siguiente es la lista de los diez primeros:
