El presidente de Ciutadans (C's), Albert Rivera, afirmó hoy en relación a la propuesta de prohibición de las corridas de toros en Catalunya que hoy serán los toros y "mañana será la pesca, y luego la caza". Agregó que a él no le gustan los toros pero no le parece bien "que se prohíba por ley una tradición".
"Me parece increíble y me da vergüenza, porque la gente te para por la calle y te comenta que como se puede estar en el Parlamento catalán, con la crisis económica más grande de los últimos 70 años, debatiendo sobre prohibir una tradición o no", subrayó.
En declaraciones a Telemadrid, lamentó que CiU o ERC "estén haciendo bandera de esto en plena crisis económica y de libertad". Añadió que no es un debate sobre la protección de animales sino "político e identitario" y que, si se quiere hablar del maltrato animal, sea "de todos los animales, no sólo de los toros".
