Apple y los principales sellos discográficos van a apostar por una renovación de los nuevos precios de la tienda de música iTunes que impulse las ventas, dando más opciones a los consumidores.
Apple anunciará el martes su nuevo rango de precios de 69 céntimos, 99 céntimos y 1,29 dólares, según varias personas familiarizadas con el asunto. Desde que abrió en 2003, todas las canciones han tenido un precio de 99 céntimos.
La anterior estrategia de "un precio para todos", ha causado fricción entre Apple y las discográficas, que argumentan que las canciones deberían tener diferentes precios para reflejar el valor percibido por los consumidores.
Al final los sellos lograrán sus deseos.
La mayoría de las canciones continuarán vendiéndose a 99 céntimos, pero una serie de nuevos temas de éxito se venderán a 1,29 dólares. Muchas canciones de catálogo antiguas se comercializarán a 69 céntimos.
