Agentes de la Policía Nacional han detenido a un empresario de Vigo por espiar a una empresa de la competencia a través de Internet mediante un virus 'troyano'.
El programa controlaba la actividad del denunciante y enviaba informes periódicos. El arrestado, gerente de otra empresa del mismo sector, correspondiente a reparaciones urgentes del hogar, está acusado de un delito de descubrimiento y revelación de secretos.
Según informó la Policía en un comunicado, la investigación se inició hace más de una año, cuando un empresario gallego denunció que se había accedido de forma fraudulenta a distintas cuentas de correo electrónico y cuentas bancarias de las que era titular. Las cuentas estaban relacionadas con varias de sus empresas, dedicadas a reparaciones urgentes del hogar.
Analizados los equipos informáticos de la empresa denunciante se constató que estaban infectados por un programa de tipo 'troyano', instalado de forma automática cuando el denunciante abrió un correo electrónico con una supuesta factura de uno de sus proveedores.
Desde ese momento, el 'troyano' comenzó a monitorizar las operaciones realizadas en el ordenador espiado, enviando informes periódicos de las actividades al detenido, que obtuvo contraseñas de acceso a cuentas de correo, cuentas bancarias y otros servicios de internet. Gracias a esto, el denunciado consiguió cuantiosa información privilegiada sobre clientes, proveedores y otras relaciones comerciales de las empresas espiadas.
El detenido ha resultado ser agente de otra empresa del mismo sector. Los agentes han practicado un registro y han intervenido tres equipos informáticos.
