El lehendakari, Patxi López, ha considerado hoy "inmoral" e irresponsable las críticas del PP a la política antiterrorista del Gobierno que, según ha advertido en una entrevista, "debilita las posturas de los demócratas" frente a ETA.
Sin embargo, López ha afirmado que esas críticas no van a poner en peligro el acuerdo que su partido rubricó con el PP para dar estabilidad al Gobierno Vasco, aunque sí ha censurado "ese tipo de juego", de posturas "casi esquizofrénicas", en el que líderes 'populares' "como Federico Trillo -responsable de Justicia del PP-, aseguran que "tienen un acuerdo con el Gobierno", al mismo tiempo que la secretaria general, María Dolores De Cospedal, "ataca despiadadamente a ese mismo Gobierno ", mientras su presidente Mariano Rajoy "está mudo".
Según ha sentenciado el lehendakari, "no se puede jugar con estas cosas con esta irresponsabilidad" porque, a su entender, resulta "enfermizo usar la política antiterrorista para el ataque político porque, en lugar de debilitar a ETA, debilita las posiciones de los demócratas". Además, ha indicado, "es un delirio ese ataque al Gobierno que más ha hecho para lograr que ETA esté en la actual situación de más debilidad de su historia".
En ese mismo sentido, ha reprochado las palabras del presidente del PSE , Jesús Eguiguren, quien el pasado viernes aseguró que si el PP no permite al Gobierno vasco desarrollar su política en materia pacificación, tendrán que "romper" con esta formación. "Si estoy diciendo que es irresponsable usar la política antiterrorista para atacar al contrario, también en este caso, porque las palabras de Jesús, aunque no lo quisiera, presuponen que el PP no está a favor de conseguir la paz", ha explicado, sin dejar de matizar que "el PP quiere conseguir la paz" y ha pedido que "no quede una sombra de duda sobre ningún partido democrático".
En cuanto a las recientes excarcelaciones de miembros de ETA , López ha considerado que están basadas en decisiones judiciales "que chocan con la sensibilidad de las personas" pero, ha añadido, "ante esto lo que cabe es un recurso", y no "hacer una cruzada contra el Gobierno", también en este asunto.
