Suele decirse que "si un perro muerde a un hombre, no es noticia, pero si un hombre muerde a un perro, eso sí que es noticia", por lo poco habitual del segundo caso. Cambiando un poco el refrán, podría decirse que estamos claramente ante una noticia: Cary McCook, un joven de 25 años fue atropellado el pasado día 1 de abril por un ciervo.
McCook se acababa de bajar de su coche junto a un hotel en la Columbia Británica cuando fue literalmente arrollado por un ciervo que corría a toda velocidad. El violento golpe le tiró al suelo, aunque afortunadamente no sufrió heridas de consideración.
El joven se recuperó rápidamente y contó lo sucedido a su familia y amigos que, siendo justo ese día el April Fools (el equivalente al Día de los Inocentes en España), no le creyeron. Al final McCook logró hacerse con las imágenes de seguridad del hotel y mostró a todos que lo que decía era verdad.
El vídeo, ha sido colgado en Youtube y se ha convertido en viral y su protagonista ha declarado a los medios locales que en un primer instante no sabía qué sucedía, pero que después se dio cuenta de había sido atropellado por un "Bambi" perseguido por un perro.
Cuando se lo contó a su madre, según él mismo ha relatado, incrédula, ella le dijo riéndose "He oído mejores cosas que eso".
