Unos cincuenta inmigrantes de origen subsahariano han intentado la noche del martes acceder a Melilla saltando la doble valla que la separa de Marruecos, pero han sido rechazados en su totalidad por fuerzas de seguridad marroquíes.
Este es el tercer intento que se registra en apenas 48 horas en la alambrada, después de los protagonizados por un centenar de inmigrantes sin papeles el lunes, en la que pasaron unos 20, el martes al mediodía fueron unos 300, de los que lograron su propósito unos 100, y anoche unos 50, que fueron repelidos en su totalidad.
La última intentona ha tenido lugar sobre las 23.00 horas del martes cerca del puesto fronterizo de Barrio Chino, donde las fuerzas de seguridad española, que se encontraban en alerta, no tuvieron que intervenir porque los inmigrantes fueron rechazados al otro lado por los mejanis (soldados de fuerzas auxiliares) marroquíes.
La Guardia Civil cortó el paso a personas y vehículos en el tramo que va desde los puestos fronterizos de Barrio Chino a Beni-Enzar para así impedir el acceso de la prensa en esta zona mientras se producía la intervención para repeler esta tercera avalancha de este inicio de semana.
