El PNV, que en la jornada de hoy dejará el poder en Euskadi tras tres décadas de gobierno, se siente acosado por el PP y el PSOE. Este es, al menos, el discurso defendido ayer por el ex presidente jetzale Xabier Arzalluz, quien llegó a recomendar a su formación que se planteen "no participar en unas elecciones españolas".
"PSOE y PP faltan incluso a los mínimos democráticos, opinó Arzalluz, quien cree que "ha llegado el momento de decirle a Madrid que de esta manera, no. Ellos han roto la baraja. Si faltan los mínimos democráticos, si incluso gobiernan aquí rompiendo intencionadamente los mínimos democráticos, pues hay que decirles que ya basta".
Arzalluz ha reconocido que un plante del PNV en unas generales abocaría a un "escenario de confrontación total con el Estado", ya que "esto no sólo lo haría el PNV".
"Esto no se puede tolerar y si continúan haciendo estas cosas, habrá una rebelión. Y será lo más grave que ha pasado desde la Transición", alertó Arzalluz.
El ex líder jetzale ha encontrado respuesta en el cabeza de lista del PP para las elecciones europeas, Jaime Mayor Oreja, quien ha pedido que no se tenga miedo a las "amenazas" de Arzalluz, ya que quien "debe tener miedo" ante la nueva situación política en el País Vasco "es el PNV".
Asimismo, Mayor Oreja destacó el papel de los líderes del PP y el PSOE en Euskadi, Antonio Basagoiti y Patxi López que, a su juicio, "merecen el máximo apoyo" posible por parte de estos dos partidos "institucionalistas".
"Estamos ante un escenario inédito, y lo que están haciendo Basagoiti y López merece el máximo apoyo, sin fisuras", afirmó.
